Bob Zimmer MP announces a $1.2 million contribution from the Government of Canada to the City of Fort St. John through the Gas Tax Fund transfer. The funding will support the addition of a micro-hydro unit to the City's wastewater system and the construction of a district energy system at the Pomeroy Sports Centre.

Residents and businesses throughout the District of Houston will have reliable access to clean drinking water thanks to a $3 million contribution from the Government of Canada through the Gas Tax Fund transfer. The project will see the construction of a water treatment facility to improve the community’s drinking water by reducing iron and manganese levels.

The Village of Telkwa will receive $680,230 from the Government of Canada through the Gas Tax Fund transfer to retrofit their municipal building and install an innovative biomass heating system, as well as to develop a sustainable subdivision plan.

UNBC PhD student Dominic Reiffarth explained a microwave digestor to Bob while he was in Prince George to announce $852,000 in federal funding for the university. UNBC will relocate its Central Equipment Laboratory and acquire 22 new pieces of research equipment.
