MP Zimmer Joins Thousands in Support of Canadian Lawful Firearms Owners

OTTAWA – Bob Zimmer, Member of Parliament for Prince George-Peace River-Northern Rockies and Co-Chair of the Parliamentary Outdoor Caucus, joined thousands of Canadians on Parliament Hill on Saturday to support lawful firearms owners in Canada.

“Prime Minister Justin Trudeau and his Liberal government have repeatedly shown their lack of respect for our outdoor community,” said Mr. Zimmer. “Instead of focusing on efforts to combat criminals and illegal firearms, they have continuously targeted our highly vetted firearms owners.”

“It was an honour to be at the Integrity March in support of and with thousands of lawful Canadian firearms owners who were there to demand that the Liberal government take real, concrete action to make our communities safer,” said Mr. Zimmer. “Blanket firearms bans and making law-abiding Canadians follow even more rules is not the answer.”

Approximately 5,000 people attended the event which included a march through the streets of Ottawa.

“Thanks to Tracey Wilson and Rod Giltaca and the countless volunteers with the Canadian Coalition for Firearms Rights for organizing the Integrity March and for demonstrating once again that We Are Not The Problem.”
